History
The International MOMS Club (MOMS Offering Moms Support) is a non-profit organization for at-home mothers. MOMS club was founded in Simi Valley, California in 1983. Today, the International MOMS Club is made up of more than 75,000 members, with more than 1,500 chapters across the U.S., Canada, Slovenia, Belgium, Italy, Ghana, and South Africa. The aim of the International MOMS Club is to provide support for mothers who have chosen to stay home and raise their children. Aside from moral support, International MOMS Club offers its members fun and educational activities mothers and children can enjoy together, monthly meetings which address topics of interest to women and parents, and community service projects, especially those benefiting children. International MOMS Club is the only international support group specifically for all at-home mothers, regardless of background, age or religion. One thing that makes the MOMS Club unique is that we allow our children to attend everything we do. We believe that being a mother should not isolate you, so no mother has to hire a babysitter to participate. Of course, mothers do not have to bring their children to activities in order to enjoy the cub, but please know they are always welcome. Our chapter was actually the first Arizona MOMS Club chapter, founded in Chandler in 1991. The Chandler MOMS Club has grown so large, that there are now six chapters in the Chandler area. The state has 52 chapters with 43 of those in the Phoenix metro area. Chandler NE's boundaries include the City of Chandler North of Chandler Blvd and East of Dobson Road. We would love to have you as a member! If you are interested in joining our chapter, send an e-mail to our Membership Vice President, Trina. For all other inquiries, or in starting your own chapter, you can contact the International MOMS Club at momsclub@aol.com or visit the www.momsclub.com |
